At Chowkhat, we are on a mission to make handmade products accessible and affordable for all. In a world full of brands and glam, we chose to explore the lesser-known. We don't just sell clothes but stories of artisans that unveil their hard work, unmatched creativity, and most importantly - their decade-old passion.
We strive to add at least one handmade product to every wardrobe in not just in India, but in other countries as well. Because with every product you buy, you are supporting a local artisan & breathing new life into the otherwise overlooked age-old art of the country.
At Chowkhat, we are working hard to provide you with the most beautiful & unique handmade products at affordable rates across India starting just from Rs 699. Started out with Chikankari collection from Lucknow, we are now having hand-block print from Jaipur, Bhandhej from Sikar. And we are planning to add even more such beautiful art forms from across India soon.
Chowkhat was started in 2020 by two sisters, Pratanksha Gupta, and Anuja Gupta with their savings.
Pratanksha is a Fashion Design graduate & has worked with several designers & production units. Whereas, Anuja is a post-graduate from IIMC & has worked at various marketing agencies as Digital Marketer. The sisters always wanted to have something of their own which at the same time should bring change in the world around.
When Pratanksha discussed about her field trips and interactions with local artisans, while working with a designer, they knew, they had found their calling. They would travel cities, explore markets and spend sleepless nights discussing growth and business.
Chowkhat's first Chikankari collection was launched in February 2020 & they have never looked back since then.
